When my grandfather died, space opened up between my grandmother and me.
In March 2025, we travelled together through southern Italy for four weeks toward Capri, a place she had always wanted to visit.
Away from familiar surroundings, we learned to exist together differently. Two individuals on equal terms, listening closely, renegotiating what our relationship could become.
